1. Agreement
By submitting cards to CardSource.ca for sale, you agree to these terms and conditions. CardSource.ca reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the seller service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Eligibility
To use our seller service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid CardSource.ca account in good standing
- Be the legal owner of all cards submitted
- Have the legal right to sell the submitted cards
3. Card Requirements
Cards submitted for sale must:
- Be authentic sports cards from recognized manufacturers
- Not be counterfeit, altered, or tampered with
- Be in the condition described in the submission
- Not have any outstanding liens or claims
CardSource.ca reserves the right to reject any cards that do not meet these requirements. Rejected cards will be returned at the seller's expense.
4. Fees
The following fees apply to seller services:
- Processing Fee: Per card based on service tier (Standard: $3.00, Premium: $5.00, VIP: $10.00)
- Transaction Fee: 5% of final sale price (minimum $0.50)
- Graded Card Surcharge: $0.50 per graded card
- Oversized Card Surcharge: $3.00 per oversized card
- Holder Removal Fee: $0.50 per card if holder removal is required
- Sticker Removal Fee: $3.00 per card if sticker removal is required
- Storage Fee: $0.10 per card per month after 90 days unsold
- Return Shipping Fee: $5.00 for returning unsold cards
5. Pricing
Sellers may suggest listing prices, but CardSource.ca reserves the right to adjust prices based on market conditions. CardSource.ca will not sell cards below the seller's specified minimum price without explicit consent.
6. Payment
Payouts are processed weekly after the sale is complete and the buyer's return period has expired. Minimum payout threshold is $25.00. Balances below this threshold will carry forward. Canadian sellers receive payment via Interac e-Transfer; international sellers receive payment via PayPal.
7. Shipping
Sellers are responsible for securely packaging cards for shipment to CardSource.ca. CardSource.ca provides prepaid shipping labels for standard submissions. For high-value submissions, insured shipping is recommended. CardSource.ca is not responsible for damage during shipping to our facility.
8. Insurance
Cards with declared value over $500 require insurance. CardSource.ca offers insurance at 1.5% of declared value. Sellers may decline insurance but assume full risk for loss or damage.
9. Unsold Items
If cards remain unsold after 90 days, CardSource.ca will contact the seller to discuss options:
- Adjust listing price
- Return cards to seller (shipping fee applies)
- Continue listing with storage fees
- Donate to charity program
10. Storage Fees
To maintain efficient warehouse operations and encourage realistic pricing, storage fees apply to unsold cards:
- Days 1-90: Free storage
- Days 91-180: $0.10 per card per month
- Days 181-365: $0.15 per card per month
- Days 366-730: $0.25 per card per month
- After 730 days: Cards must be returned or donated
Storage fees are calculated monthly and automatically deducted from seller payouts before payment. Sellers can view storage fees in their Seller Analytics dashboard.
11. Buyer Storage
Buyers may hold purchased items for up to 30 days free of charge. After 30 days, storage fees of $0.05 per card per month apply. Buyers may use the "Hold & Combine" feature to accumulate orders for up to 60 days before shipping. Maximum storage period for buyers is 180 days.
12. Returns
Buyers have 30 days to return items. If a return occurs, the seller's account will be credited for the sale amount. The card will be relisted at the seller's discretion.
13. Marketplace Benefits
By selling with CardSource.ca, you contribute to a marketplace that benefits all collectors:
- Buyers gain access to diverse inventory from hundreds of sellers

- Secure transactions protect both buyers and sellers
14. Liability
CardSource.ca is not liable for:
- Loss or damage during shipping to our facility
- Market fluctuations affecting card values
- Loss or damage due to events beyond our control
- Any indirect or consequential damages
15. Termination
Either party may terminate the seller agreement at any time. Upon termination, unsold cards will be returned to the seller at the seller's expense. Outstanding fees will be deducted from any pending payouts.
16. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada, in accordance with Canadian law.
17. Indemnification
Sellers agree to indemnify and hold CardSource.ca harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the seller's breach of these terms or any misrepresentation regarding submitted cards.
18. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
