One of the things we're most proud of at Card Source Canada is our photography commitment: every card you see in our listings is the actual card you'll receive.
No stock photos. No 'representative images'. The exact card. Every time.
Here's how we do it.
Our Equipment
- Camera: We use a high-resolution camera or smartphone with macro capability
- Lighting: LED flat lighting panels positioned to minimize glare while showing card details
- Background: White or light grey background for maximum contrast
- Surface: Clean, non-reflective surface
The Photography Process
Step 1: Card cleaning Before photography, we gently clean the card holder with a soft microfiber cloth. We never clean raw cards to avoid damage.
Step 2: Flat lay setup Cards are photographed flat, from directly above. This prevents perspective distortion.
Step 3: Front shot Full card, showing centering, surface, and overall appearance.
Step 4: Back shot The back matters! We always photograph the back to show condition details.
Step 5: Close-up if needed For graded cards, autographs, or premium parallels, we include close-up shots.
Step 6: Upload Photos are uploaded to listings without cropping or filtering. What you see is exactly what we have.
Our Commitment
If you ever receive a card that doesn't match the photos — contact us immediately. We will make it right. Period.
This is the Card Source Canada guarantee.
